Activity Description for Ice Climbing Abisko

Step into the wild north and experience ice climbing Abisko – an adventure that challenges both body and mind in true Arctic conditions. You don’t need any previous experience, just curiosity and a sense of adventure.

Abisko is one of Sweden’s best destinations for ice climbing, offering a variety of frozen waterfalls perfect for both beginners and experienced climbers. The combination of glistening ice walls, the surrounding Abisko mountains, and the vast lake Torneträsk creates a breathtaking backdrop that makes this experience truly unforgettable.

Your certified guide will equip you with all the necessary gear – alpine boots, crampons, harness, and helmet – and teach you the basics of climbing vertical ice. After a short drive to the icefall, you’ll learn how to move safely on ice and use your tools with confidence.

Dress warmly, embrace the Arctic chill, and prepare for one of the most authentic winter adventures in Lapland. This is more than just an activity — it’s a taste of life beyond the ordinary.
