With guidance from certified local climbing guides, you’ll gain confidence on real rock while climbing unforgettable routes in Lofoten’s world-famous climbing areas.

This is more than a climbing course – it’s a full Lofoten climbing experience, shaped by long summer days, raw landscapes, and a strong climbing community.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrival (transport included from Leknes airport).

  • Check‑in at Stamsund Hostel.

  • Welcome meeting, gear check and safety briefing.

  • Transfer to the sport climbing area.

  • Sport climbing session to assess each participant’s level.

  • Picnic at the crag.

  • Return to the hostel.

  • Shared dinner.

  • Optional sauna and free time.

Day 2

  • Breakfast

  • Trad climbing course: Session 1

  • Picnic on the rock

  • Return to Stamsund Hostel

  • Free time for paddleboarding, sauna, or a walk around the area

  • Group dinner and debrief

Day 3

  • Breakfast.

  • Trad climbing course: Session 2

  • Lunch in Henningsvær followed by a kayak excursion (optional)

  • Relaxed dinner

  • Gathering under the midnight sun.

Day 4

  • Breakfast.

  • Climb of the iconic Svolværgeita.

  • Picnic outdoors.

  • Free time to explore Lofoten or relax.

  • Dinner.

Day 5

  • Breakfast.

  • Multi-pitch climb around Henningsvær.

  • Final picnic at the crag.

  • Return to the hostel.

  • Camp closing and farewell.

  • Transport to Leknes airport.

Frequently asked questions

All climbing gear is included in the camp price (harnesses, helmets, crash pads, ropes, trad protection, and more). However, if you have your own personal equipment (harness, helmet, shoes, etc.), we recommend bringing it for the best fit and comfort.

  • Appropriate clothing for outdoor activities

  • Hiking boots and climbing shoes

  • Warm waterproof jacket (weather here can change quickly, even in summer).

  • Personal climbing gear (harness, helmet, etc.) if you have it

  • Towel and swimwear for sauna and paddleboarding

  • Reusable water bottle and sunscreen

This camp is designed for intermediate climbers (those who routinely send 5a–6c (5.8–5.10) on gym walls or sport routes) and who are ready to make the leap onto real rock.

You’ll benefit most if you already feel comfortable clipping quickdraws and moving confidently on vertical terrain, but want hands‑on experience placing trad gear, managing anchors, and climbing in an inspiring Arctic environment.
